RAA-Regional Centers for a Democratic Culture

The Regional Centres for a Democratic Culture run by the RAA support, advise and qualify people with regard to the topics of a democratic development and right-wing extremism. They offer support in communal crisis situations, advise schools and child day-care centres, parents as well as communal administrations in the field of a democratic development.
The work of the regional centres is directed at all democratically minded actors including citizens as well as state or civil society institutions. It aims at the people’s aptitude to recognize right-wing strategies and to recognize and implement their own possibilities of cooperation in a democratic society.
The Regional Centre of West-Mecklenburg has its seat in Ludwigslust and works in the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim, North West Mecklenburg and Schwerin. The Regional Centre of the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has its seat in Anklam.
